The Flow Rider definitely captured my 8 year old’s attention – I mean, he learned to boogie board on a perfect, everlasting wave and nailed it on the first try! I was impressed with the lifeguard’s ability to give direction and let guests try to get it right, in their own way! You’ll find at least 6 fun slides at Epic Waters, but according to my children, the best part of the park was the Flow Rider. of year-round water fun!Įpic Waters Indoor Waterpark has been referred to as a “cruise ship on land,” as there is something for every member of your family including numerous waterslides (with three of these slides being the ‘first of their kind’ within the waterpark industry,) an outdoor wave pool, space for birthday parties, private rentals, and year-round events. While we did enjoy the many other attractions EPIC has to offer (especially the Rio Grande Lazy River) it is here at Rascal’s Round-Up where we spent the majority of our visit. I watch as my little one giddily climbs the stairs to the top of the slides, looking around in awe, she heaves forward into the rush of water that sends her into a complete state of joy. Gathering the gang we head for Rascal’s Round-Up. Lifejackets and floats are abundantly accessible. No mysteries at Epic Waters, the depth is clearly labelled practically every 6 feet around the perimeter of all bodies of water – averaging around 3 feet in depth around the park. At some parks, depth of the water can often be a mystery most effectively solved by wading in. We are very encourag ed to see armies of life guards – looking alert with whistles in mouths – asserting safe practices throughout the park whether in water or on dry land. Sadie is a confident and enthusiastic swimmer for her age, this, in itself redoubles our desire as parents to be assured of her safety around the park before we can consider letting her loose. Our waiter makes introductions and assures us that we have his attention for the duration of our visit. The Beach at EPIC WATERS overlooks Rascal’s Round-Up and is the perfect spot for families to settle in for a day of fun.Įxcitement buzzing around us, we unpack and settle in our cabana for the day.
